Kelly, What is it You Do?

Oh, it is my process you want to know about?! Well, it all starts with an idea. Sometimes that idea comes from you, sometimes it comes from me, sometimes it comes from the tree outside of my window. If it is a commissioned card you order, I first send you (via email) a pencil-drawn proof to see if you like where I am going with it. This is usually a bit rough, so you might have to squint your eyes a little to see what the end product will be, but at the very least, you will get a vibe! Then I get into making it a card that is up to the very high Kelly Card Co standard. What is that standard you ask? The picture below is a perfect example. I was just about done with the card on the right when the “G” in “dropping” went awry. I wasn’t okay with it. So, I made a new one. Please don’t fret for the “reject,” he was sent to my dear pen pal Anna (hi Anna) with a long life-update!

Just know, that if you are getting a card from me, you are getting a card that I would be willing to give to someone (unless of course you’re Anna, but we have an understanding). For those of you who know me, know that my “good enough” barometer is well above average. For those of you who don’t know me, think, *that kid* in middle school/high school gym class who played like it was the Olympics, that is me but with cards. Full on try-hard and gosh darn proud of it.

Right! The rest of the process. Once the card is completed and I do a little happy dance while I look at the completed card, I pop that puppy in the mail (our good friends at USPS) and it is on its way to you! Included with the card is a plain envelope that you can use (or I guess not use…) to deliver your new card to its designated recipient.

I hope this little post helped to shed a light on all of the fun and love both you and I get with ordering a Kelly Card Co card!

xoxo,

Kelly
